tag or script are just two different styles of writing CFCs. They dont affect the features of CFC at all. Implicit/Generated CFC methods are features of CFC and will work no matter which style you write the CFC in.

Currently its exactly same as cfparam validation. So the only way is to wrap it in try/catch. But yes, if you want it handled differently, why don't you log an enhancement request mentioning how you would like to be?

Are Implicit/Generated CFC Methods only for new style cfscript cfc's or will they also be generated for old style tag based cfc's? I would think that they are for both, but I have not seen a single mention of it being available for tag based cfc's.

Very cool stuff.

Regrading the validation, is there anyway to get back what failed the validation other than by wrapping it in try/catch? A validate function or something similar?

"I am sure writing accessors for your CFC fields will become a thing of past..." when we don't have to code for CF7 and 8... :)
